Southern Imaging Inc., founded in 1997, has a division that manufactures and distributes industrial products for the industrial vision, and medical markets. Southern Imaging’s industrial product lines include high-speed cameras for automated inspection, quality control and robotics. Since its start in 1997, Southern Imaging has experienced a rapid growth in the markets it services and today is considered one of the top industrial vision distributors.

In May of 2000, Southern Imaging Inc. purchased the assets of Costar Video Systems and Video Solutions, Inc. The acquisition included all trademarks and intellectual properties. For over fourteen (14) years, Costar Video Systems has been one of the leading manufacturers of security and industrial products for the security, industrial vision, and medical markets. During Desert Storm Costar cameras linked through satellite transmission beamed back to the US Joint Chiefs of Staff close to real time video of forward infantry division activity.

In 1996 Costar obtained the coveted ISO9002 certification. This certification enables Costar to service companies like Xerox, IBM, Ford Motor Company and many others that require this high level of process control required by the industrial imaging market.

After many years of rapid growth, Costar Video Systems was purchased in June, 2006, by Dynabazaar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FAIM.OB), forming Costar Video Systems, LLC. Costar’s experienced business team is led by Sam Cassetta, the company’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, and James Pritchett, the company’s newly appointed President. Sam Cassetta has over 15 years of experience in the security industry, having served as Vice President of Brinks Inc. and as President of Burns and Roe Securacom Inc. James Pritchett is an 18 year veteran in the video and imaging industry, having served as the President of the Costar division of Southern Imaging since 2001 and as President of Ultrak Inc.

Costar Video Systems plans to continue to market the Costar™ brand of video and imaging products to the security markets with a more aggressive business model formulated to deliver the highest levels of technology and support services to its customers at competitive prices. The company’s product line includes cameras, monitors, camera housings, power supplies, multiplexers, high speed domes, controllers, and analog and digital video recorders. Costar Video Systems is based just outside Dallas in Carrollton, Texas.
